Eating the worlds healthiest, most eaten and favorite meat is not as expensive as you may think.
Our Chevon meat wether prices change with the years cost's and in 2010 and 2011 our costs for our Chevon was pretty low.
We encourage the buying of the live Chevon wether and the processing of it either by the buyer or by a local butcher. Keeping our food dollars in our community.
A Chevon wether will cost you $75, live or 'on the hoof', for an approximately 80-110 lb wether. Processing fee's will be less than $100 and give you 30-55 lbs of meat. Your cost would be around 3.20- 5.80 a lb and give you gourmet premium cuts along with every day cuts like ground and roasts, snack sticks etc. Of course if you process it yourself you're paying just over a $1 a pound.
Our Chevon has been mistaken by many as beef, in fact several have insisted on it despite our declaration.
If you're concerned about your diet, are diabetic type 1 or 2, or on a heart health restrictive diet we encourage you to talk with a nutritionist about eating Chevon.
You may just be able to eat red meat again.
