Finished Chicken is 5-8 lbs and grows for 12 to 14 weeks. Four to six weeks longer than commercially available chicken. Expect a longer breast and heavier leg and thigh and much more flavor. We have to have these pre ordered by June every year. Orders taken after June will not be available until the following year because we are seasonal growers and not going to try to be small time industrial farmers. Just isn't us.

Chevon - Whole or Half can get you on the road to diet happiness. Chevon grown here is a delicious mild tasty red meat raised on range and hay. Use like you would beef. Very good in an indefinite number of dishes and heart healthy too. Lower in fat than Chicken and higher in iron than Beef.

Update October 28th, 2011 I always encourage people to order turkey's early on. Our turkeys are finished out at 17-24 lbs on free range and whole grains. Absolutely unbeatable taste. I've had so many requests this past couple of weeks, I really wish I had them available but I don't, and I just want to encourage everyone to really think about ordering early. All it takes is a $5 deposit(non refundable).
Also Chicken, we'll be going into our 3rd year raising Freedom Rangers and right at the last minute we had many many orders that we just can't fill as a CSA. Our costs have gone down to $10 a ranged chicken fully finished. So they are completely affordable. Just put an order in early and you'll be able to enjoy a freezer full.

Our pigs now are from a free ranging pig farm in Eastern Washington. When done right this is the best healthiest way to raise animals. We have described how we raise them on our Pork page.
